Anders is Stenkrona Investments’ Founder and Managing Director; he is curently employed by Nordea Bank focusing on Financial Health and is Nordea’s spokesperson for savings and investments

His expertise in financial technologies and ongoing activities within Fintech enables him to evolve at the forefront of this fast-developing industry. Currently Anders is focusing his energy on helping Nordea’s customers to become the most financially healthy in the Nordics.

Anders is Stenkrona Investments’ Founder and Managing Director; he has served as Chairman, Board member and Advisor to several financial institutions and companies. His expertise in financial technologies and ongoing activities within Fintech enables him to evolve at the forefront of this fast-developing industry. Currently Anders is focusing his energy on helping Nordea’s customers to become the most financially healthy in the Nordics

Enriched by a substantial academic background, Anders is also an appreciated lecturer, twice receiving the Students’ Choice Award while acquiring his PhD in Finance at Stockholm University.

Anders Stenkrona is an expert in the psychology of financial decision-making. His doctoral thesis; “Investment Decisions and Risk Preferences among Non-Professional Investors” includes several peer-reviewed, published and award-winning papers. It contains empirical research on how the entire Swedish population made investment choices in the Swedish Pensions Agency’s pension plan.

He is also an expert in Risk Management. As the Risk manager for a Swedish Investment Bank, he discovered, re-valued and investigated tone of Sweden’s largest trading loss (Carnegie Investment Bank, 2007, loss of SEK 630m).

The direct result of this experience was to rewrite the banks Policies, Instructions and risk limits, while implementing a new risk system and reorganizing the bank’s risk management framework and procedures.

Following this career-defining experience, he was involved in the acquisition of a competing bank and equipped with extensive experience acquired in risk management dysfunctions, investigating its trading loss, the largest reported in Sweden (HQ Bank, 2010, loss of SEK 1.2bln).

Combining these two areas of expertise; the psychology of financial decision making with risk management, Anders joined Carnegie Investment Bank’s Investment Advisory Team, advising clients on risk management, tailoring investments to fit clients’ risk profile, investment policies and legal constraints.

Anders then turned his attention to the exciting world of Fintech startups and put his unique hands on experience to help established Financial Institutions adapt their business models to a rapidly changing financial environment. He co-founded the Fintech startup Sparplatsen, a digital financial advisor, which was successfully sold to Movestic (2017), an established pension advisor in Sweden.

Although much solicited professionally, Anders spends as much time as possible with his wife and four children. He is actively involved in charitable and parish activities. Anders has over 15 years as a board member (8 as Vice Chairman) of a Church organization counting over 2500 members. In addition to his very busy schedule, he also finds the time to prepare himself for the annual Ironman in Kalmar, a rigorous Scandinavian annual triathlon, which has become an athlete favorite.
